Koh Lann offers a change of pace from the busy beaches of Pattaya - an island well known to Thai and foreign visitors for its tranquil surroundings, beautiful beaches, glass-clear waters and extensive coral. This landmass of four square kilometers, just seven kilometers from Pattaya Bay, sports three beaches and is Pattaya’s closest island just a 45-minute boat ride from shore.
Koh Lann is a lovely spot catering to all kinds of tourists. Whether you want to laze around on the island’s soft, white sand, or get more lively and play a few water sports is up to you. The island offers parasailing, water-skiing and jetskis. Snorkeling and deep-sea diving are recommended off the nearby islands of Koh Krok and Koh Sak, where there is an abundance of coral and undersea life waiting to be discovered. However, tourists should bring their own diving equipment since there are no dive shops in this area.

Very clear water, lovely beaches, quiete island. Koh learn is 30mn away from Pattaya city by taking the public ferry for 30thb per person. Tuktuk are available in the island to drive you from beaches to beaches. Many tours such diving, snorkeling, sea walking, parasailing and many more. Food is very cheap and delicious smells of sea food all over the island.

We did have a very tasty seafood lunch that was included with the trip. You also get the opportunity to have a go at paragliding very reasonably. Your time on the island is about 1 1/2 hours, just enough time for lunch & swim.
Called Coral Island, but I can assure you there is none. It is a nice island, but definitely too much tourism, as powerboats shuttle people out constantly. You can still relax, but it will be busy and always people coming and going. Food prices decent for smaller items, quite loud for seafood. Activities from jet ski, banana boat, fishing, and others available. Took a speedboat out (single engine) and would recommend a ferry, as it was quite rough and the drivers don’t seem to keen on customer’s comfort as they do sticking to their schedule or just hurrying out there. But the water is perfect, the temperature like bath water, and the color amazing. Not a bad day to spend the day, but don’t see the difference from going to one of the mainland beaches instead.
Koh Lan or Coral Island is a very popular destination from Pattya as a one day trip. However some adventures tourist make a trip for a couple of days. It take about 20 minutes by speed boat and 40 minutes by bigger ferry to reach there from Pattya. Speed boats leave from Pattaya beach and are private operated and cost a little more. Large ferries leave from Pattya pier and are cheaper.Private boats also operate from the pier and the return ticket is 100 baths.
We had booked a funny sea tour which included lunch on coral island. We had parasailing , undersea walk , jet ski , snorkeling and seafood lunch included in our package. The organizers took really good care of us.The sand and lagoon on coral island is really beautiful But mind it , its very hot so always drink lots of water and brng a hat n sunglasess
Coral Island is a good beach, not great but good. The water definitely is stinkingly blue and the are speed boats and banana rides sprawling around with some fresh Thai seafood right on the coast.
